For my animation project I decided to create a near-death dream sequence. The live action video component is one of my friends being chased through a corn field by a bunch of corn cultists. When the corn cultists catch her and stab her to death with corn, she dies, and experiences a near death hallucination/slash soul transportation.

As she lies, dying, corn grows up around her and she sinks beneath the earth. She appears in a fall forest scene. She then wakes up and stands up. Pumpkins appear around her. She then puts the pumpkin on her head. The pumpkin grows a face, and she turns into a skeleton (kind of like Jack Skellington). She then walks off, along with a bunch of her new pumpkin headed skeleton friends.

Unfortunately, she is soon followed by a mysterious man with a top hat and an ax. The man walks off screen, then walks back with a pumpkin in his hands. We then cut to him eating a delicious pumpkin pie.

I'm planning on using a combination of Adobe Animate and Adobe After Effects. I'm also planning on creating most of the characters in Adobe Illustrate, so that I can move around their individual components. I'm going to use Adobe After Effects for the walk cycle to save myself some time. Initially, I was planning on using some hand drawn animation, but I think that will be too time consuming for me. If I have time, there are some additional details I could add, like a pet bird for the hat man or movable expressions for the pumpkin men.
